Suddenly, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, our son, brother, family member and friend, Zane Steve Stawiarski, aged 25, was taken from all of us far too soon. Zane was born on Friday, June 18, 1999. He leaves us all behind to bring us all together. We are left with memories to cherish.
Zane had moved to Victoria, BC in February 2023 and became a paramedic. He had recently returned home to Winnipeg. Zane was excited to be back with family again. He was a very giving person and extremely talented at all that he pursued. All he wanted to do was help others, and was successful in doing so time and time again.
From the football field to the classroom, Zane was always a capable asset that tried his hardest to surmount any challenge that life threw at him, while uplifting those around him. He didn’t have the easiest path in life, but fought through all hardships with ferocious tenacity.
We would like to extend an invitation to all to share Zane's memories and to celebrate who he was. Please join us at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Friday, May 2, 2025 at 6:30 pm (Corner of Nassau and Stradbrook). Refreshments and good conversation to follow the service. There is also a viewing at Glen Eden funeral home April 29 between 2:00 - 5:00 pm for those wanting to say a final farewell.
The best kind of people are those that make you see sunshine where you once saw clouds. They are people that believe in you so much that you actually begin to believe in yourself. When people like that depart, they are never replaced.
Rest in Peace Zane, the world became
a better place through
your determination to make it so.

As I remember from our days at both River Heights Middle School and Kelvin High, Zane was always very high-spirited and had an amazing sense of humour, and it saddens me to learn of his passing.
