MARTHA WAKARUK
Martha Wakaruk died peacefully on April 29, 2025, at the age of 87, at Brooksville Healthcare Center in Florida.
Martha will be remembered by her sister Evelyn Wakaruk, nieces, Lorraine Leclerc, Arlene Nerger, Ruth Millan, Sharon Rivard, Lynn McGratton, Donna Wakaruk, Kim Wakaruk, Carol Laforet and nephew Terry Pye.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Lena Wakaruk, husband James Leonard, brother Lawrence Wakaruk, sisters, Anne Wakaruk, Mary Nadeau, Adele McGratton and Nancy Warga, nephew Murray Nadeau.
Martha was born in Senkiw, MB and grew up in Poplar Point, MB. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1948 where Martha attended Norquay School, Hugh John McDonald and Tec Voc. She worked at H.L. Perry and Manitoba Telephone System. In 1965 Martha moved to Honolulu and worked in the Hawaiian tourism business in Honolulu, Chicago, Las Vegas and Redwood City. She moved to Brooksville, FL after retirement.
