Kay was born on the family farm in Vita, Manitoba on December 7, 1930. She passed away November 5, 2024, after a brief stay in Oakview Place Personal Care Home.
Kay was predeceased by her brother, Bill and eldest daughter Sylvia. She has since been joined in heaven by her brother Sylvester and sister Luba.
A long-time resident of Fort Rouge, the family lived on Nassau Street, then on Rosedale Avenue for over 50 years. She greatly enjoyed her career at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital as a licensed practical nurse. Kay worshipped at Churchill Park Church where she enjoyed socializing with friends and neighbours.
Mom leaves to mourn her children, Tom (Dale), Patricia (John), John, Stan (Carla), Kathy, Andy (Karen), Elaine, Michael and David, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Kay will be laid to rest in the Vita Community Catholic and Orthodox Cemetery on May 10, 2025. A reception will follow at 12:00 noon at the Ukrainian Catholic Parish Centre with family and loved ones in attendance.
