JAY JAY BURNS

(JACQUELINE ANNE)

1972 - 2025

It is with great sadness and tears that I announce the loss of my baby girl, Jacqueline Anne Burns of Calgary, known to all as Jay Jay. She passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the age of 52 years. She was raised in Rivers, Manitoba, then moving to Medicine Hat and settling down in Calgary where she found the job she had dreamed of since she was a little girl. Working as a flight attendant for Air Canada, Jay Jay loved her job traveling all over the world. Growing up, Jay Jay was involved in many sports; water skiing, swimming and ringette with ringette being her favourite. In her short journey she lived life to its fullest. Health problems and surgeries kept Jay Jay from doing the job she loved. While on the road to recovery she lost her dad, Jack Burns whom she adored and missed dearly.

Jay Jay leaves to cherish her memory her mom Linda; sister Tammy; two nieces, Taylor (Levi) and Zoey.

All animals, especially cats, found a place in her heart of gold for they were her children. To honour her wishes cremation has taken place, so once again she can be reunited with her beloved cats. Rest in peace Thumper, you are with your dad now.

A Celebration of Life for Jay Jay and Jack will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Rivers, Manitoba, on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. as a come and go event.

Those who wish to remember her with a donation, may do so to an animal shelter or charity of your choice.
