DOROTHY PENNER
Dorothy Penner, 97, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Pembina Place, Winnipeg, MB.
She is survived by two daughters, two sons, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband Peter H. Penner.
A private family service will be held.
A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and care aides at Pembina Place.

Today I was looking at the back of a handsome beautiful hand-crocheted bunc of flowers, set in a solid antiuq gold frame, all about five inches by five inches. In the back, my Mother Katie Garden hand mentioned that Dorothy Penner had given her this gift of her hand-made, her own, artwork. As I thought to look her up, I might have had a chance to visit. Mrs. Penner made the best cookies around, and the competition was stiff ! We all enjoyed her apricot crescent cookies, the chocolate rum balls, many kinds each one delicious. She annually brought us a big tray full ! My Mom sometimes sent her some of her fruit cake or egg rolls. She was my favorite neighbor, but we left there in about 1964 for River Heights, Gordon and Katie Garden, brother Jim and I. If you wish the artwork, call me at 204-489-3553. God Bless her soul!
