Ronald (Ron) Hlady, beloved husband of Jayne Hlady (nee Lowerison) of Heritage Pointe, AB, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the age of 81 years.

Born in Brandon, MB, he was the son of the late Henry and Mary Hlady (nee Plowman).

Besides his loving wife Jayne, Ron is survived by daughter Marlo Yasinski, two sons, Robert Hlady (Natsuko) and Joseph Hlady; stepson Daniel Beston (Brenna), grandchildren, Everett, Jennifer (Pedro), Lucy, and Wyatt; step-grandson, Milo, step-granddaughters, Minami (Hajime) and Misaki (Koichi); great-grandson, Romeo, and step-great-grandchildren, Mia, Rei, and Ryo.

Ron is also survived by his sister, Judith Grierson, sisters-in-law, Judy O'Keefe (Con) and Jennifer Lowerison (Steve Beaumont); nieces and nephews, Terry (Gord), Tanis, Lauren, Denys, Mariah, Julia, and Michael; as well as many cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his sister, Lynda Gregory, and brothers-in-law, Wally Gregory and Duncan Grierson.

Ron was a dedicated member of Canadian Tire for 48 years - 38 of which were as a dealer in Port Aux Basque, Wetaskiwin, Lloydminster, and Calgary Shawnessy. He won the Dealer Award of Excellence in 2006. Being part of the Canadian Tire family brought many fun adventures, great friendships, and meaningful relationships.

He enjoyed golf, Calgary Flames hockey, playing cards, and a dram or two of scotch. He loved spending time with his extended family, from watching their sports to family gatherings, and hosting anyone at their vacation home in Phoenix. Ron and Jayne's annual Sandals Resorts trips with friends were an adventure and an extremely fun time; he loved travelling the world with Jayne.

At Ron's request, there will be no funeral service. A private family burial will be held at Madford Cemetery in Douglas, MB.

The family would like to thank the staff at Unit 66 of South Health Campus for their compassion and dedication.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made in his memory directly to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/donate, or to the Canadian Cancer Society, www.cancer.ca.

Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Ron’s family at www.MHFH.com.

In living memory of Ronald Hlady, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes.
