It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria - beloved Wife, Mother, Zia, and Nonna - on August 30, 2025, at the age of 87.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Nancy (Robert); her grandsons, Evan and Owen; her nephew Larry; and her niece Tamy (Glenn).
Maria left Italy soon after marrying her husband, Elio, to begin a new life in Canada. Together, they settled in Winnipeg, where they built a home and raised their only daughter, Nancy.
Maria dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs ahead of her own. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandsons, Evan and Owen, whose presence never failed to bring a smile to her face. She cared for them in their early years, teaching them the values of hard work and resilience.
Her deep love for her family was evident to all who knew her. One of her signature gestures was to wave goodbye and keep waving until her loved ones were completely out of sight - a simple but powerful expression of her unwavering care. Maria will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
The family would like to Thank Dr. Li and Maria’s four angles at Concordia Place for all the love and care given. A private family funeral will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St Paul.
