Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT ERNEST BEERS
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Albert (Al) Beers on August 23, 2025, at the age of 85. Al passed away peacefully in his sleep after a long day of visits from loved ones at his bedside.
Al is lovingly remembered by son Dallas (Jackie), grandsons Matthew (Delaney), Brayden, and Keenan, son Dustin (Shannon), sisters Elaine (Glen), Sharon (Bernie) and brother Dixon, sister-in-law Sandy, niece and nephews Steven, Jarrett, Haley and Jordan and extended family and friends. Al was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Ellen Beers and brothers Gary, Barton and Stan.
Al was born in Grandview, Mb. in 1940. Growing up in the 50s, Al liked his hair greased and his cars fast! Al was a lifelong fan of NASCAR along with his brothers. He watched his final race just days before his passing. Al loved to hunt every fall and enjoyed greatly his days spent in the woods. Life changed in 1959 when the family moved to Winnipeg from Sussex, NB. Al and his brothers had to get jobs to help support a family of eight. Al started out as a sign painter then worked at Ashdowns, Manitoba Cartage, and then Livingston Distributors Ltd until his retirement.
Al had two sons, Dallas in 1971, and Dustin in 1977. Al lived in the River-grove area for most of his life. Al and the boys had many fond memories of their time spent at Caddy Lake and later Elma, Mb. playing lawn darts, horseshoes, and cards late into the night with family and friends. Later in his life Al still enjoyed playing outdoor games into his 80s.
Al's sister Elaine and husband Glen Volkmar cared for Al with much love and kindness for the last three years of his life. The family would also like to thank the Home Care staff that went above and beyond for Al.
Allie, we will miss your smile and laughter so very much. Til we meet again...
A Celebration of Life will be held later in the fall.

I met this; (SUPER NICE GUY) at Livingston Mutual on Mountain and Sheppard back in the day when I was loading and unloading the box cars AND (This is where I saw Al's exceptional talent) when I was finished with one of the box cars I had to do ALL the paper work and calculations so I had to go to the office and use the calculator (Like most did) BUT, Al Said: "Billy, come here let me see that" so I shows Al the papers and wouldn't you know it Al, calculated ALL those numbers (and correctly I might add) in his head with NO calculator and I just said to Al; "Man, you're a human calculator", Al, just smiled and continued operating his Deep Reach he was in charge of. After work Al showed me his (Forgot the year) Red Satellite Car OH, did he ever like that car and him telling me all about it and how fast it could go. Al was very quiet but a very nice person to be around and call FRIEND! I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to Anita, Dallas, Dustin and the rest of the Beers family. I got to know Al from his time at Livingston. As a driver I appreciated him going that extra mile for me every day. He always had a smile and a dry sense of humor. Condolences to his family. - Posted by: Tim Fellows (Friend) on: Sep 13, 2025
