DUDLEY SPENCE GOWEN

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dudley Gowen on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the age of 78.

Dudley was born in Selkirk, MB where he continued to live a wholesome and fulfilling life and continued to indulge in chocolate pie until the end. He is reunited in peace with his beloved wife, Laura, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving son, Tim and daughter in-law Andrea, along with cherished granddaughters Trinity and Paige and his grand fur child Bolt. He is also survived by siblings Peter (Eleanor), Bud, Ruth and twin brother Maurice.

Dudley will be remembered for his outrageous sense of humour, his love for sweets and his questionable blue truck affectionately named “Tetanus”.

We would like to give a huge thanks to the EMT and ER staff at Selkirk Regional Health Center, the flight team of STARS and to Dr. Love and his team at St. Boniface Hospital.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Diabetes Canada in his name.
