ROLANDE MARIE YVONNE PETIT
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Rolande on October 11, 2025, at the age of 77.
She was predeceased by her husband Ernest; her parents, Denise and Lucien Johnson; and her sister Koko; her sisters-in-law, Agnès, S. Rita; and brothers-in-law, Albert and René.
Rolande is survived by her children, Michelle, Marc (Yasmin), and Lynne (Ryan); her grandchildren, Ophélie (Ian), Léo, and Rosalie; her sisters, Liliane (Roland) and Marie (Bill); her brothers, Butch, Mitch (Maggie), Maurice, and Roger (Carolyn); her sisters-in-law, Thérèse (Alfred), Jeannette (Adrien), and Lucille (Rene); her brother-in-law Ed (Colleen); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She played an important role in the lives of her family, friends, children, and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all, leaving a truly huge void.
In lieu of flowers, donations may go to CancerCare Manitoba or Winnipeg Harvest.
A funeral will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at La Paroisse Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens, 289 Avenue Dussault, Winnipeg, MB.

I worked with Rolande for many many years while at the National Film Board. Rolande was never a complainer. She was a doer and full of good cheer. Always great to see her. Always so welcoming to everyone who came through the door there. And now I work with her talented grand daughter Ophelie.
