I have known Evie most of my life, from grade school. Evie was always full of smiles and humour (as we got older Evie's humour sometimes got a little off colour). When I started dating Wayne, Evie accepted him as part of the family. I remember so many great memories at Lac Lu, both when I and Val were younger and also when Pat and Wayne came. Evie always made it a fun time. We will remember playing board games and Val would call Evie to say goodnight, and she would always close off with (you kids have fun)! We will miss this lovely lady. Hugs to all. Wayne and Charlie Summerly - Posted by: Wayne and Charlie Summerly (Val's forever friend) on: Nov 12, 2025

I send my sincere condolences to the Evie's family, how fortunate you all where to have such a lovely mother, and for so long. Evie was an amazing person who gave the best of herself to us all. Many great years of friendship at LacLu. It was an absolute honor to have known her and share time with her and Tom at the lake. Rest in peace lovely lady. - Posted by: Gary Light (Friend of the family) on: Nov 08, 2025

Over the last three decades we slowly became friends with the retired couple next door. We would have over the fence conversations, Evie covered what’s happening in the neighborhood whileTommy was always good for a story and a laugh. After Tommy passed the chats with Evie continued, sometimes covering politics, history or geography, trust us when we say with Evie in the room “Google” was not needed. It was a privilege and honour to have them as neighbours. Gary and Elaine - Posted by: Gary and Elaine (Neighbour) on: Nov 08, 2025
