PENNY BLOCK
Penny Block (née Buccini), aged 65, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on November 8, 2025.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Greg; her children Amanda (Mike) and Ryan; her cherished grandchildren Reign and Amiyah; and her mother-in-law, Marge Urso. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Pat and brothers-in-law Kerry, Bruce, and Larry, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Penny was born to Angelina and Quintino Buccini and was predeceased by her father in 1983, her sister Dolores in 2020, and her mother, Angelina, who passed away two days after Penny on November 10th.
Cremation has taken place at Alterna Cremation. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Penny’s memory.

I am so sorry for your loss. Penny and I were childhood friends, we met at King Edward School. I spent a lot of time at the Buccini’s growing up. We reconnected in high school. Then as life would happen we lost contact with each other. Then our good friend Karen (who also has passed on) reconnected a few of us King Edward kids that grew up together. Greg, Amanda and Ryan Words cannot express the sorrow and pain of the loss of Penny. She was the absolute sweetest, kindest and selfless woman that I have ever known. Penny was the person who always gave to others before herself. On November 8, 2025, the world lost an incredible soul, and the Heaven’s gained a beautiful angel. Rest easy my dear sweet Penny.
