Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I’m sad to hear of Donna’s passing. She was a dear friend and colleague who never hesitated to lend a hand and assist others. For many years Donna served as the Education librarian, where she worked closely with faculty, and taught countless classes and workshops to their students. She was not only a dedicated professional, but a kind and caring person. She will be missed. - Posted by: James Kominowski (Colleague) on: Jan 20, 2026

  • I am deeply saddened to hear of Donna's passing. She was a wonderful and dedicated colleague who brought a positive spirit to our workplace, brightening the atmosphere among the library staff whenever we gathered. She will be missed. - Posted by: Asako Yoshida (Former Colleague at Elizabeth Dafoe Library, University of Manitoba) on: Jan 19, 2026

  • I’m sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. We only overlapped a short time at the University of Manitoba but she was a great mentor, and she was the one who first gave me a push into being a union representative and expressed that she believed I’d help make things better for our coworkers. It meant (and still means) a lot to me. I hope her retirement was wonderful and full of joy. - Posted by: Ruby Warren (Coworker) on: Jan 19, 2026

  • I'm very sad to hear of Donna's passing. We only worked together for a short time when I was library tech, but she was always friendly, supportive, and dedicated - she was one of several librarians who inspired me to become a librarian myself. She will be missed. - Posted by: Maureen Babb (Colleague) on: Jan 19, 2026
