It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son Jeff.
Jeff was born on May 14, 1984 in Toronto, moving to Winnipeg in 1986. He grew up and attended school in Westwood where he participated in many sports with his favourite being hockey. He was usually one of the smallest players on the team, while still being one of the fastest and smoothest skaters.
Even though he was surrounded by Jets fans, he remained an avid supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Jeff also had a passion for WWF Wrestling, attending many live events in Winnipeg and Toronto with friends and family. One of his favourite past times was collecting WWF championship belts. In later years, he also had a keen interest in fishing.
Jeff passed away peacefully after more than two decades battling depression and fighting the demons of drug addiction. Jeff will be greatly missed by his father Bill, stepmother Gaye, step-grandmother Helen, two stepsisters Sara and Jenna; an aunt and uncle in Toronto and many cousins in Winnipeg and Toronto.
Jeff was predeceased by his brother Steve, his Granny and Grandpa and two Aunts.
Rest easy Jeff, the demons are gone and you are now in the embrace of your loved ones on the other side.
A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, February 21 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, please considers donations to Siloam Mission or Winnipeg Center of Hope.
