Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGINO D'ABRAMO
It is with great sadness and love, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and friend, Gino D’Abramo, who tragically passed away on March 8, 2026 at the age of 61 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Gino was born on October 23, 1964 to Luigi and Maria D’Abramo. He is predeceased by his father Luigi and leaves behind his mother Maria; sisters, Emily (Franco) and Marianne; and many extended relatives and cherished friends.
He will best be remembered for his kindness, gentle spirit, generosity and love and devotion for his family and friends.
He worked most of his life at the family restaurant perfecting his cooking skills. In later years, he also purchased real estate.
His many interests included hanging out with friends, music and was an avid Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Winnipeg Jets fan. He was given the nickname "Jitz" in honour of the Winnipeg Jets.
Gino had a heart of gold and was a friend to all who knew him. Even while battling illness the last few years of his life, he remained brave and strong; never wanting to be a burden to anyone. Life will not be the same without him, and he will be forever missed.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Holy Rosary Parish, 510 River Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, at 11:00 a.m. Viewing to be held one hour prior to service. A live stream link for the service is as follows: https://youtube.com/live/E4iMLGMA5nQ

I literally looked at Deb’s obituary last night. Haven’t looked in over a decade.. Was floored when I saw your comment.. I responded to your comment this morning. Decided to google Gino just now. Shocked and deeply saddened. My comment says it all. Gino was an amazing man. I was quite young but i vividly remember his gentle auro and loving, caring and gentle spirit. I loved every minute when you came over to hang with Deb. And when I ran into Gino in the streets of the rouge -my day was better. Very sad right now. This timeline is surreal. The best ones always leave too early. The deepest of condolences to you and your family All the best to you Emily. Biggest warmest virtual HUG to you❣️Much Love🙏 - Posted by: Dale linklater (Old friend from the rouge) on: Mar 19, 2026
