DONNABELLE KNIGHT
Donnabelle was born on May 9, 1964, in Elkhorn, Manitoba, to Ron and Donna Greenshields, who raised her with love and cherished values that she passed on to her family.
Donnabelle's life was a testament to resilience and compassion. Growing up in the warm embrace of her family, she learned the importance of togetherness and support. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ron and Donna, and her brother, Dean, who welcomed her with open arms in the afterlife. A devoted mother, Donnabelle took immense pride in her only daughter, Amanda Greenshields. Their bond was unbreakable, filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Donnabelle's legacy lives on through Amanda and her vibrant family, as she embraced the role of grandmother with joy. She is survived by her five grandchildren - Justice, Desmod, Serria, Silver, and Chloe - each of whom brought her immeasurable happiness. As a great-grandmother, Donnabelle adored her three great-grandchildren, Briar, Zane, and Aurora, who were the light of her life. Donnabelle's love extended beyond her immediate family to her siblings: Bert Greenshields, Maggie Greenshields-Goethals, Doug Greenshields, David Greenshields, and Beverly Jolly. Together, they shared countless family gatherings, laughter, and stories that will forever echo in their hearts.
Throughout her life, Donnabelle demonstrated a profound ability to connect with others. Her kindness and empathy touched the lives of many. She was known not just for her warmth, but also for her strong spirit and unwavering support for those she loved. As we gather to celebrate her life, we remember the lessons she imparted: the importance of family, the power of kindness, and the strength of love. Donnabelle leaves behind a legacy that will endure through the lives of all she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honour on May 9, 2026 at The Backyard on Aberdeen from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., where family and friends will share their stories and memories, remembering the beautiful soul that was Donnabelle Knight. Donnabelle's presence will be deeply missed, but her love will forever be etched in our hearts. Rest in peace, Donnabelle.
