On May 24, 2026, Gunborg woke up happy, singing and getting ready for her day, then the singing stopped and she was gone.
She was born September 11, 1929, in Sweden. She married Gunnar Almroth on August 14, 1949. They immigrated to Canada in 1954.
She was predeceased by her husband and daughter-in-law Gloria.
Gunborg was the center and heart of the family. With her nurturing nature, always giving to us and our friends, love and food! She had such a great smile that would envelop you with comfort.
Left to mourn are her children Britt, Rose (Bruce) and Dennis (Caroline), her grandchildren Chris (Karen), Jason (Lerna), Sheldon (Maria), Lisa (Dan) and great-grandchildren Savannah, Raine, Moriah, Lily, Ava and Gunnar.
A private family memorial will be held.
