We were so very saddened to hear of Marvel's passing; she and Barrie were such mentors to us at Westview Dance Club when we were new members. We enjoyed meeting in Florida to go dancing whenever schedules permitted; sincere condolences to Barrie and all the McPherson & Nichols families. - Posted by: Phil & Cyndi Brown (Friends) on: Jun 13, 2026

Marvelle was my Head nurse on Pediatrics when I graduated at St. Boniface Hospital in 1967. Though she soon climbed the ladder. I have never forgotten her. When I started to attend the Alumni Dinners, I would always look for her. I thought she never changed. I was sorry not to see her the last couple of years at the dinner.,she was truly an unforgettable person. . Sincere condolences to all the family. Thinking of you all and Marvelle will be in my prayers. - Posted by: Linda Homenick needs to Dagdick (Co worker) on: Jun 13, 2026

My deepest condolences to Barrie, Terry-Lynn (Ken), Tammy, Whitney and family. My husband and I first met Marvelle & Barry while working as volunteers for a political campaign back in the 1980's. When we stepped into North Kildonan United Church in the early 1990's, it was Marvelle and Barrie who welcomed us with open arms and we knew we had found our church family. Marvelle will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart as I truly considered both she and Barrie my 'second parents.' Marvelle was a kind, caring person whose concern for everyone around her was second to none. May you fly high with the angels! Love Heather S. - Posted by: Heather Schaub (Friend) on: Jun 13, 2026
