WILFRIED (FRITZ) HOLTMANN
Fritz was the fourth child of Johanna and Heinrich Holtmann of Rosser, MB. He was always cheerful and did his share of the many chores required on a large dairy farm. He also helped our mom with her many household tasks even baking bread and doing laundry. He was naturally inquisitive and mischievous but he took his studies seriously. After high school he completed his BScAgric. and then completed his M.Sc (animal genetics) in Guelph, Ontario. He married Lorraine Beaudette from St. Jean Baptiste, MB in July 1962.
He then pursued further studies in Madison, Wisconsin and earned a Dr. of Philosophy (natural science).
His beautiful, talented wife very quickly helped him become bilingual thus enabling him to accept a teaching position at Laval University in Quebec. From 1976 to 1998 he was Director of Marketing for CIAQ (Quebec Artificial Insemination Ctre) in Ste. Hyacinthe, and from 1998 to 2000 managing director of BOVITEQ.
Wilf spent his retirement years in Ste.Hyacinthe, Magog and lastly at Residence Bromont.
