Our hearts are broken about the untimely, yet peaceful, passing of our dear Wanda following a short illness. She is lovingly survived by daughter Belinda (Bella), son Bert, boyfriend Doug, siblings Wendy (Joe), Carolyn (Alain), Tena (Randy), Darrell (Marilyn) and Lisa, along with heart-sister Gail, and many extended relatives and friends. Predeceased by niece Crystal, parents Herman and Hazel, former husband (Archie) and other beloved friends and relatives. Known for her big smile, endearing personality and big heart, Wanda loved her nursing career, family and friends, home in Transcona, curling, baseball (Twisted Sisters), walking (counting steps), London musicals, PV bands and world adventure travel.
Wanda said “I lived a full life and I am ready to go”. Her life celebration is Monday July 6. Reception 1:30 p.m. Program at 2:30 p.m. All Saints Hall, 1500 Day St in Transcona.
Gratitude given to the staff at HSC and Riverview hospitals for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donate to Riverview Palliative Care. Seasons Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
