• I well remember Bob from his days in Advanced Education and Training. It goes without saying that he brought considerable credit to the Department, within government and in various communities. He was the epitome of responsibility and commitment. I was sorry when he moved to another position. Perhaps most important were Bob’s personal decency and morality. I remember one night being what I thought was alone in Nelson House. Everyone from government had left, assuming I was with someone else. Who should appear but Bob, saying he knew I needed a ride. So we drove through a bitter January night,Bob at the wheel, ice on the road, and great ambience in the car. What a terrific guy! • I worked with Bob back when he was the Director of Project Neecheewam. With his affable personality, good humour and positive energy, Bob was well liked by everyone. He was good at a lot of things. I remember the huge crowd that came to his retirement party. Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease and it took away a very talented and very loved man. • We met Bob and Brenda when Hope was teaching Lauren swimming at Bonivital pool and became friends with them. Bob was one of the most genuine and upbeat people that we ever had the pleasure of knowing.
