I am so sorry to hear this. I served with Elwood on the Taché Food Resource Center Board and he was very passionate about his community. He will be missed. May his memory be a blessing for his community, family and friends. - Posted by: Chris Wiebe (Taché Food Resource Center Board) on: Jul 27, 2026

I didn’t know Elwood very well, but as his yoga teacher, his presence was always welcome. Elwood would arrive with his signature sunglasses year-round, set up his yoga mat as far from me as possible, and try to blend in without notice. We teased each other frequently, me calling him out behind the pillar to see if he really did the Bridge pose, he calling me Sister Juliette or telling me that, yes, of course, he already did the Downward-facing dog while I wasn’t watching. I enjoyed his sense of humour, his playfulness, his teasing. I will miss Elwood, as will the other yogis who laughed at his antics. - Posted by: Juliette Nadeau (Yoga teacher) on: Jul 25, 2026
