GORD DELBRIDGE
Gord Delbridge passed away with family at Health Sciences Centre at age 55.
He was predeceased by his father Gordon. Gord is survived by his children Wyatt and Anastasjia, Mother Betty Thiessen, brothers Ron and Peter as well as extended family.
Born and raised in Transcona he started a family in St. James, but he was never more at home than at the cabin in Matheson Island.
He was a strong advocate for the labour movement and the family thanks his extended union family for assistance during this time.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. If friends wish, the family asks for donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers.

I was saddened to learn of Gord’s passing. Although we were not close personal friends, I had the privilege of working with Gord over the years. He always approached his work with fairness, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to representing and advocating for his members. Even when we found ourselves on opposite sides of an issue, he worked toward fair and reasonable resolutions with integrity and respect. My sincere condolences to Gord’s children, Wyatt and Anastasjia, his mother Betty, his brothers Ron and Peter, and his extended family. Rest in peace, Gord. He was an amazing man with an indomitable work ethic, but above that he was a loving father and loyal friend to my parents and all of us in the Woods family. Quick witted and funny, he could always make you laugh with the most impeccable timing and unpredictable execution. Caring and generous, he often shared drinks he'd make as a hobby and invited us over to his cabin he built with his family. Happy to share in the joy and results of his hard work and labor. Growing up across from his house, I would come over and play with his son Wyatt and I always felt welcome and safe. He truly had a heart of gold from personal experience. I am very grateful he was apart of my life. Thank you for all the fond memories. I will always remember you, and keep your memory alive in my heart until I pass.
