BEVERLEY PUETZ
With sadness, we announce the passing of Beverley Ann Puetz, wife, mother, granny and great-granny, on July 23, 2026, at her home on Matheson Island, with her family by her side.
Beverley was born on January 26, 1948, to Charlie and Grace Settee and spent her formative years on Matheson Island. She had fond memories of her youth, especially the summers spent at Cox's Reef, where her father was employed as a lighthouse keeper.
In 1971, Bev moved to Thompson, where she met her husband, Dennis Puetz, and lived for the next 33 years, working at the Thompson General Hospital and raising her family. She thoroughly enjoyed family get togethers, where there was sure to be a guitar or three pulled out and a sing song to follow.
Bev was predeceased by her son, Kevin; brothers Harold and Barry; and sisters Carol, Kathy and Martha.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dennis; daughters Sandra (Don), Linda (Jim), and Denise (Ed); twelve grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She also leaves behind brothers Sandy and Cliff (Mel); sisters Hazel, Linda (John), Darlene, Elaine (Ron), and Shelly (Ken); and dozens of nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.
Upon retirement in 2004, Bev and Dennis returned to the place of her youth to enjoy the peace and serenity of Matheson Island.
