Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIGRID KATHLEEN THORSTEINSON nee (SANDBERG) Born October 14, 1915, passed away peacefully June 30, 1999, at Purdy Pavilion U.B.C., Vancouver, BC. Predeceased in 1960 by her loving husband Nelson whom she will be buried beside in Winnipeg. Survived by her loving family; daughter Linda Stieler; son Ron; grandchildren, Rick, Jill, Shelley and great-grandson Leifer; sisters, Alphild, Hooey, Hazel McVicar; brother Bob Sandberg (Diane) and many nieces and nephews in Winnipeg and Toronto. She will be fondly remembered for her love of family, art, humour, warmth and spirit. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 7 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Sigrid, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
