B. JOAN THOMAS (nee THICK) September 21, 1999 Coming Home Stricken with a cancerous brain tumour our dear Joans life ended peacefully after a lengthy and heart breaking struggle August 8, 1999 at her California residence for over forty years. Remembering and cherishing Joans memory are her loving husband, Dave of forty five years; son David and wife Cheryl and daughter Patricia and husband George; her only sister Eleanor and husband John Bohemier; four grandchildren, Laura and Jason Thomas and Timothy and Stephen Gonzalez; other relatives in England and Ireland, many dear friends and neighbours Julie, Linda and Doris, school friend, Annette as well as Joans very loyal and faithful canine walking companions Kelsey, Tory and Chip. Predeceased by her parents, Herb and Blanche Thick (nee Bodkin). Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated from the St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, Holland, Man. on Friday, October 1 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Brookdale Cemetery, Holland, Man. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Joans memory to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St. Winnipeg, Man., R3E 0V9 or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St. Winnipeg, Man., R2L 1X3.
