STELLA POLLARD It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Stella Pollard (formerly of Hoddinott Road) on Monday, October 18, 1999 at West Park Manor. Predeceased by her husband David in 1969; son Robert in 1998; sister Helen (Howard Brandy) brothers, Edward (Viola) and Ralph Snyder (Joyce). Mom was the last surviving member of her family and passed away on her 93rd birthday. She is lovingly remembered by daughter-in-law Joan and granddaughters, Megan and Karen. Also daughter Diane (Bob Fraser) and granddaughters, Linda (Michael Casey), Lauren and Jennifer, Susan (Carl Palmeruk) Sean, Cole and Taya, Jill (Trevor Newell) Danielle and Mitchell and Alison (Don Sommerfield), Carly Chelsey and Brittany. Also she leaves numerous nieces and nephews in London, ON, Vancouver and Hartford, Connecticut. Mom loved being outdoors "putsying" in her garden; she also loved Laclu and Boine Lake. She especially enjoyed their cottage at Grand Beach where they had many good times with the Spences. Later in life, Mom became a member of Toastmasters International and the Manitoba Antique Association. She had a true love for life, a wonderful smile and cheerful disposition. Mom, Grandma and great-grandmother gave us the gift of laughter, something we will always cherish. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff at West Park Manor, especially Ruth, Linos and Rachel. A special thank you to Chaplain Ken Perry. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey Street, on Monday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Stellas memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or to a charity of your choice. Well love you forever, Mom. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
