MICHEL PORAN (MITCH)
Date of Passing: Oct 29, 1999
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHEL PORAN (MITCH) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michel Poran, aged 75 years at the Seven Oaks Hospital on October 29, 1999, husband of Helen; father of Margaret Diane Kumorek; grandfather of Charlotte Donna Kumorek, both of Chicago, Ill., U.S.A. Helen and Mitch lived in Chicago for 30 years and then moved to Winnipeg after his triple heart bypass surgery. It was always his wish to retire to Winnipeg and for many years he lived a pain free life. He loved the Winnipeg weather, which he claimed lengthened his life. However, for the past two years, his health began to deteriorate due to congestive heart failure. He was a volunteer for one year at Seven Oaks Hospital. He was involved in starting the Maples Senior Association at the Maples Community Centre. He was a "people person" and that made him very happy to run the whist program at the Main Street Senior Centre. Michel will always be remembered for his great sense of humour and his willingness to help others. He will truly be missed by all. The family would like to thanks Dr. Gary Mazowita for all the years of caring and also many thanks to all the staff of the Seven Oaks Hospital, V.O.N. nurses and especially the Home Care Workers that were so wonderful to him. Cremation has taken place and at his request there will be no service. CROPO FUNERAL SERVICE in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
