ERIKA PROHASKA It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Erika Prohaska on the morning of November 10, 1999. After the Second World War, Erika left her birth place of Berlin, Germany for Canada in an attempt to escape her childhood poverty. Settling in Winnipeg, she married and had two children, John and Christina. She lived a quiet life with love for animals, crafts and gardening. Her sense of humour and positive disposition will be missed. Despite enduring many personal tragedies, she faced her difficulties with dignity and even after she fell ill, she was quick to offer her strength, courage and aid to others. Only those of us who knew her well can understand the great void she has left with her passing. Her son would like to express his gratitude to the staff at the Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion. As per her wishes, there will be no service. Those wishing to do so may make a donation in Erikas memory to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
