AFFA MARILYN PRATT (nee BOYLE) January 27, 1929 - November 20, 1999 Suddenly, at Victoria General Hospital, Marilyn Pratt passed away with her children at her side. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband George Pratt and her parents, Perc and Affa Boyle. Marilyn will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and many friends. Surviving Marilyn are her children, David (Linda), Judy (Glen) and Randy (Betty-Ann), all of Winnipeg; her brother, Bert Boyle in Toronto, and her grandchildren, Laura, Lindsay, Krista, Heather, Ryan, Leanne, Stephen, and Michael. She is also survived by many relatives throughout Canada. Marilyn was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and attended school at Condie, Saskatchewan where her parents farmed. She graduated from Balfor Technical School, Regina in 1947 and then attended the University of Manitoba, attaining a BSc. in Home Economics in 1951. While attending university she began dating George (Ti) and they were married in November, 1951. Winnipeg was their home, except for three years in Brandon, for the rest of their lives, and they loved it here. Marilyn enjoyed travel, sporting events and handicrafts. She was an active volunteer in the Windsor Park community when her family was young. For the last several years and especially since George passed away, her bridge ladies have been a great support and lots of fun. A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, November 25 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia Street, or a charity of your choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
