MARIA REQUILDA BUCCINI It is with great sorrow that we the family announce the passing of Maria Requilda Buccini to eternal rest on Saturday, January 1, 2000 at Riverview Medical Centre. Maria Requilda was predeceased by her parents, Carmine and Barbara DAntonio; her sister Adalgisa and her brother-in-law Giuseppe. Left to cherish her memory, and missing her dearly are her husband and friend Giuseppe; daughter Maria Luigina; sons, Antonio (Pierina), Carmine (Emilia) and Giovani; grandchildren, Bruno (Nancy), Rosanna (Tim), Gianna, Lorella, Mario, Carlo and Giuseppe; great-grandchildren, Melissa, Catherine and Matthew, and brother Ernesto (Lucia). Maria Requilda was born June 17, 1914 in Villalago LAquila, Italy and immigrated to Winnipeg on September 12, 1955. She and her husband shared 66 years of happy marriage together. After a courageous battle with alzheimers disease, God called her to come home. Maria Requilda will always be remembered for her devotion, love and care towards her husband, family and friends. The family extends our sincere thanks and appreciation to relatives, friends, Riverview medical staff and home care staff, especially Diane, Irene and Carol. A special thank you to Dr. Ramon Jovel. Prayers will be held in her memory on Thursday, January 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, January 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue. Officiating by Father Renato Pasinato. Entombment at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. Mom will always be remembered As a woman both strong and good Who gave her best for others And who did the best she could Shell always be remembered For all the joy she brought As a woman who made a difference And a woman who meant a lot.
