MARIE QUIRING Peacefully, on Friday, February 11, 2000 Marie passed away at home following a prolonged illness. She was predeceased by her parents and her fourteen brothers and sisters. She will be sadly missed by John, her loving husband of 55 years; her children, Ken (Laura) Quiring and Myrna (Rudy) Klassen and her grandchildren, Steven (Shona) Quiring, Heather Quiring, Ryan, Mark and Andrea Klassen. Born on a farm in Saskatchewan, the youngest of a large family, Maries life was marked by a strong faith in God, loving support for her husband and family, as well as dedicated service to her church and to the elderly for whom she cared during her years of working at Park Manor and Bethania Nursing Homes. The challenges that inevitably occur in live were met with a stubborn determination to prevail and a unique sense of humour. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Manitoba Home Care, Transcona Division for the wonderful assistance provided over the last few years with special mention to Steph whose kindness and thoughtfulness meant so much to us. A celebration of Maries life will be held on Tuesday, February 15, at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church, 145 Henderson Hwy. Private interment at Transcona Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends desire, contributions in Maries name can be made to Mennonite Brethren Missions and Church Extensions. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
