MARIA PREYMA It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Maria Preyma, who died peacefully February 16, 2000 at 79 years of age. Maria leaves to mourn her sister, Sister Nathanael of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate; her brothers, Peter (Anne), Nick (Julie), Walter, Marvin (Nadia) as well as many nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine; her brother John and sister Myroslava. Maria will always be remembered as a woman of prayer and kind deeds, especially toward the poor, the elderly and the shut-ins. She ministered in various and numerous ways to the people she met throughout her travels in the U.S.A. and Canada. Maria spent many years serving the Ukrainian Catholic Church and helping the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate. The family is very grateful to the Emergency Staff and Pastoral Care at St. Boniface Hospital, to Winnipeg Fire Dept. and Police who responded so quickly during the last moments of her life. Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by prayers at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue on Monday, February 21. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 22 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Avenue with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Reception will follow the interment in Cropo Funeral Chapel Rose Room. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044. Vichna Yi Pamyat!
