DORIS MARY THOMAS (nee GRANT) On Sunday, February 20, 2000 at the Pine Falls Hospital, Pine Falls, Manitoba. Doris Thomas, aged 82 years, beloved wife of Alex Thomas of Powerview, Manitoba. Besides her loving husband Alex of 64 years, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Carol Blatz (Harry) of Powerview, Man.; son Wayne (Cecilia) of Flin Flon, Man.; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and a special niece Anita. Doris was predeceased by her son Gary in 1965. Doris loved to paint pictures and they are displayed proudly throughout her home. She loved bowling and was a member of the Pine Falls Legion No. 64. Doris spent six years in the Army Reserve. Cremation has taken place and Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 25, at 2:00 p.m. from the Notre Dame de Laus Church, Powerview, Man., with Fr. Rene Chartier officiating. Her cremated remains will be interred at a later date. If friends so desire memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, Man.
