Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEARL ORVILLE THOMAS November 30, 1949 - February 22, 2000 It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Earl Orville Thomas of Winnipeg, MB on February 22, 2000, at the age of 50 years. Earl is survived by his wife Debbie; his daughter Melanie Lavitzkie, his son Earl Thomas Jr.; his brothers and sisters, Peter (Alice) Thomas, Shirley (Leonard) McPherson, Evelyn (Harold) Sutherland, Dylin Thomas, Carolyn (Frank) Weimar and Douglas Thomas. Earl was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Rose Thomas; by his sisters, Audrey, Doreen, Annabel, Marie and Olive; as well as one nephew Leonard McPherson. Earl has served his country both at home and overseas in P.P.C.L.I. He was a corrections officer at Headingley for 15 years, and Earl was still working until his passing. He enjoyed family drives, golfing, fishing and a good joke. Earl will be sadly missed by his family, friends and co-workers. A wake service will be held on Sunday, February 27 at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Peguis Church, Peguis, MB, with Pastor Irvin Wilson officiating. Cremation will follow. Interment will take place at a later date. The pallbearers will be Harold Sutherland Jr., Darryl Sutherland, Cyril Spence, Robert Sutherland, Tony Chartrand, Morley Zachedniak.
