AUDREY WAIT (nee AESSNER) Peacefully on February 29, 2000 at Victoria General Hospital, Audrey Wait, beloved wife of Bill Wait passed away. Audrey was born in Winnipeg on July 5, 1931. As a young girl she and her family moved to the Whitemouth/Seven Sisters area. Later as a young lady, Audrey came on her own to Winnipeg and began to work at T. Eaton Co. She also worked at the Federal Income Tax. Audrey and Bill celebrated 48 years of marriage together. She also became involved with Beta Sigma Phi for many years. Audrey was a very loving and caring person. She was always available to lend a helping hand to her family and friends. Up until the end, Audrey never lost her sense of humour and always had a good story to tell. She and Bill spent many years travelling, especially to her favourite spot, Hawaii. Later they spent many winters in Arizona. Audrey was predeceased by both her parents; sister Violet; niece Sylvia Rendall and her nieces husband Ray Kulczycki. She will be sadly missed by her sister Hazel of Seven Sisters; Bills brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews all of whom loved her dearly. Bill and family would like to thank her doctors, Dr. B. McLeod and Dr. D. Scurrah; as well as the nursing staff at Victoria General Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion during her recent illness. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4 from Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road. Rev. Russell Wardell will conduct the service. In lieu of flowers, if relatives and friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 9Z9 or to a charity of ones choice.
