EVANGELOS TIGKINAGKAS Peacefully, on Saturday, March 11, 2000 at Grace Hospital, Evangelos Tigkinagkas, aged 89 years of Winnipeg. Evangelos was born in Efpalio, Greece on March 1, 1911 and joined his family in Canada in 1988. Evangelos is survived by his three children, son John (Helena) Tigkinagkas, daughter Katerina (Harry Broumas), and son Nick of Calgary; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews in Greece. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleni in 1988. Evangelos was a kind, gentle, caring man, respected by all who knew him. He was a man of many talents who especially enjoyed being with his family and friends. Special thanks to all the nursing staff on the 4th floor, North wing at Grace Hospital for their wonderful care and attention during his illness and to Dr. Harris and Dr. Anastasiadis for their care over the years and during his last days.
