Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOTTO JOHN BRENNENSTUHL Peacefully, on March 15, 2000 after a courageous battle with Lymphoma, at Riverview Health Centre. Born in Germany on June 18, 1936, Otto moved to Canada with his mother in 1953. He took up residence in Winnipeg, where he met his loving wife Erna. They were married on September 16, 1967 and raised three children together, John, Gerry and David. Otto worked for the CNR for 36 years and made countless lifelong friendships before retiring in 1991 at the age of 54. A loving, caring, unselfish family man, Ottos greatest joy was spending time with friends and family at their cabin in Rush Bay, Lake of the Woods. Both hard work and carefree times playing cards filled the days at the lake. Always the first to offer to help, Otto spent just as much time working on his friends cabins as his own. Without a word of complaint, even while his health began to fail, he could not stop himself from helping others. Otto was predeceased by his father; mother and sister. He is survived by his wife Erna; boys, John, Gerry and David; and his girls Loree-Ann and Donna; his brother Karl; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Health Sciences Centre and Riverview Health Centre for their care and support, Karen from Home Care, the V.O.N. nurses, Pastor Dan Abraham and the Good Shepherd, and all of Ottos friends, neighbours and family for their many visits and prayers. Viewing Friday, March 17 at 9:45 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 401 Kildare Ave. W. with funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Transcona Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in lieu of flowers to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331. "Those we love dont go away, they walk beside us every day." Love Erna
