Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT BUCHANNAN McDONALD Peacefully on May 4, 2000 at the Deer Lodge Centre, after a lengthy illness, my loving husband, Bob went home to be with the Lord. Bob was born in Winnipeg on May 11, 1913. He retired in Victoria Beach, MB where he built his home. In his younger years he travelled with the Royal American Shows as an acrobat. He entered the service and served his country faithfully overseas in the Second World War. He travelled and worked building The Old Spaghetti Factory all over the US and Canada. He also helped build the largest Red River Cart in the world. Besides his loving wife, Delores of 54 years, he leaves to cherish his memory: Darlene (Jim), Marilyn, Buzz (Rhonda), Janice (Ron), Greg, Val (JB), Kim, Tim, Tweety (Devin), Larry and Karen. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and brothers, Bill (Freda), Art and one sister Molly. He was predeceased by parents and one daughter Judy, May 22, 1999 and one son Denis. A prayer service will be held on Monday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Michaels Church, Victoria Beach, MB with viewing one hour prior to services. Interment to follow in the Victoria Beach Cemetery. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff of the Deer Lodge Centre and the Pine Falls Hospital staff who treated our dad with love and compassion. Pallbearers are grandsons: Rob, Trevor, Nigel, Curtis, Robert, Terrance, Joey, Bucky. We would also like to thank Rev. Mark Becker for all his support for our family and being there for our dad. Thanks mom for all that you did for dad during his long illness. We love you forever. Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now Im found was blind but now I see. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
