GERMAINE PRAIRIE (nee Laramee) January 6, 1905 - May 9, 2000 Peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2000 at the Tache Centre, Germaine Prairie passed away at the age of 95 years. She was predeceased by her first husband John McCarthy; her second husband William Prairie; her sisters Blanche Gagnon, Georgeline Laurencelle, Cecile Parisien; and her brothers Philippe and Eugene. Germaine leaves to cherish her memory her step-children; Edouard (Cecile) Prairie, Yvette Anges, Gisele Laurin, Rheal Prairie, Guy Prairie, and Jocelyne Laurencelle; her sisters Sr. Marguerite Laramee s.g.m., Emillienne Poirier, Agathe Parisien, Rolande Gallant; one brother Albert Laramee; also many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Erhard and the nurses on the second floor at the Tache Centre for their compassionate care and kindness. Prayers will be said at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons St. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 15 at St. Joachim Roman Catholic Church, La Broquerie, Manitoba with Father Leonce Aubin presiding. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
