LEONORA EUGENIA POLLOCK (nee KARPYNKA) Born: November 19, 1933 - Passed away May 20, 2000 She joins in loving memory her daughter Geraldine Estelle, September 14, 1964; mother Anna, October 19, 1989; father Eugene, January 19, 1991; nephew Keith Mowles, September 19, 1993. Leonoras memory will be carried on by her loving husband of 43 years, Mervin; her loving family, son David; daughter Stacey and husband Jim; her beautiful grandchildren, Teeghan, Kyle, Katie and Tim; her loving sister Elaine and husband Norm; nephew Mark and wife Tammy. Leonora was a very outgoing person, who loved her family deeply. She always enjoyed family gatherings at her home. Leonoras interests were numerous, she enjoyed gourmet cooking, shopping, reading romance novels, furniture auctions and one of her greatest loves was travelling to exotic places with her husband Mervin. Leonora travelled all over the world experiencing many new adventures and cultures. Leonoras personality was one to embrace life to its fullest. As a teenager she performed in many concerts playing the mandolin and singing, she had an artistic quality about her. She was a devoted wife, mother and Baba. She would not hesitate to sacrifice for family and friends. Leonora will be sadly missed by all her friends and her family who regarded her not only as a great friend but a beautiful human being and loving mother. For the past 2 years, she fought a very difficult battle with lung cancer. In this time, Leonora never lost her sense of humour, she battled to the end but that was her nature. Thanks to Doctor Maksymiuk for his kind understanding and the staff on the fourth floor of the Health Sciences Centre. One final point, we believe when a good soul is taken from this earth, a good soul is born to take its place. We hope whoever this person is, they know they have big shoes to fill. Flowers graciously declined, If friends so desire, donations may be made in Leonoras name to the Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Wpg R3C 9Z9 or Cancer Care Manitoba, 100 Olivia St. Wpg R3E 9Z9.
