CONSTANCE "CONNIE" PRATT Constance "Connie" Pratt, a University of Manitoba graduate in science, was born in Regina, Sask., on March, 9, 1923, to Ralph and Jean Plews. She was a twenty-four year resident of Leucadia, California, and previous resident of Stamford Connecticut, Pacific Palisades, California and Winnipeg, Canada. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jim; their three sons, Jim, Clyde and Bill; three daughters-in-law, Lynne, Joy and Carleen; nine grandchildren; twelve nieces and nephews and her sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Bill King. A dear and special friend to many, she was devoted to her family, an avid gardener and reader, and was keenly interested in the growth and accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. Connie passed away on June 11, 2000, after a brief illness, with her family at her side. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 18, in Connies garden, at 1:30 p.m. She is lovingly remembered and dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Connie Pratt can be made to the Carlsbad City Library, Attention Susan Simpson, 1775 Dove Lane, Carlsbad, California, 92009.
