WILMA MERYL HUFF On June 13, 2000, after a lengthy and courageous battle with emphysema and cancer, Wilma Huff, beloved wife of Lorne Huff, passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre, with her family at her side. Wilma was born on September 26, 1935 in Winnipeg. She was employed by the Canadian Wheat Board and latterly with Eatons until her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed spending her summers at Trout Lake and wintering in Florida. Left to mourn her passing besides her husband Lorne are her son Kelly and his wife Donna, mother Meryl Martin, sister Lois (Ted) Romanek of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Lorraine (Lorne) Schnurr, Lynne Philippot and Arla Cymbalisty, brother Wayne Martin, all of Winnipeg and numerous nieces and nephews. Wilma was predeceased by her father in 1992. Special thanks is extended to the Doctors and nurses at the M.I.C.U. at the Health Sciences Centre and to Marlyn Gilbert and sister Lynne for their extra efforts and support. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2000 at 2:30 p.m. in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. A reception will follow.
