CONSTANCE ROBERTA NICHOLSON POOLE (MURTON) On Tuesday, July 11th, 2000, "Connie" Poole passed away peacefully at Calvary Place, Erin Street, Winnipeg. She was born in Winnipeg on January 27, 1918 and worked for a number of years at Eatons before being employed as a Secretary in the Department of the Attorney General. She attended Grey Street United Church until her recent illness. Connie was predeceased by her husband George in 1978; also her parents, Edmund and Mary (Maisie) Murton. Surviving is her brother Jim (Mary) Murton of Pointe Claire, PQ and their children, Jim (Penny) Murton (Joel, Michael, Rose and Sarah Murton), Cheryl Street and Roberta (Rick) Wand (Rachel and Russell Wand). Also surviving is her stepson Barrie (Shirley), their children, Glenn (Kathy) Poole, (Corinna and Warren), Brent (Marie) Poole, (Andrew and Riley), Shawn (Patricia) Poole, (Jonathan) and Darcia (Robert) Albrechtsen. A special thank you to the staff on the second floor of Calvary Place for their ongoing care and compassion to Connie during her time as a resident. Your thoughtfulness and consideration will always be remembered and appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway on Tuesday, July 18 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Gordon Fulford officiating.
