ANNE CHURA On August 15, 2000, Anne Chura passed away. She was living her life to the fullest while battling cancer for a second time. She was predeceased by her brothers, Harry Chimilowsky, Steve Lowe, and Fred Chimilowsky and wife Sylvia. She is survived by her husband Berny; her children, Nancy Chura and Ken Chura and his wife Blandine. Also remaining is her sister Mary Barefoot and husband Frank; brothers, John Chimilowsky and wife Anna, Walter Chimilowsky and wife Helen; sisters-in-law Delores Lowe and Dorothy Chimilowsky; her extended family - the Patersons; and numerous nieces and nephews. Anne was born in 1933 in Winnipeg and later attended Rosewell School. She married Berny in 1956 and spent most of her life enjoying being a homemaker, looking after her husband and children. Her other interests included gardening and cooking. Her laughter and generosity will be missed by those who knew her. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be held on Monday, August 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. W., followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Pastor Lewis Vansteenkiste officiating. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers who provided the care and comfort during Annes illness. Also special thanks is extended to Dr. Maksymiuk and nurse Carla Franklin of "The Manitoba Cancer Treatment Research Foundation" for their care and compassion for Anne.
