Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWASYL PYROZYK June 3, 1926 - September 15, 2000 It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, aged 74 years. Wasyl was born in the village of Malahiw (Novij Rozdil) in W. Ukraine. Before immigrating to Canada in 1951, he lived and worked in Germany and Belgium. After settling in Winnipeg in 1952, he worked at C.P. Rail for 35 years, retiring at age 60. Wasyl loved nature and family life. He enjoyed his retirement years spending time with his wife and family at the cottoage which he built near Camp Morton. As a member of Institute Prosvita and Dumka choir he will be sadly missed by many of his close friends. Besides his loving wife, Rozalia he leaves to cherish his memory his sons Ron (Dori), George (Rhonda) daughters Anna, Mary, and Olya (Chris) his adoring grandchildren, Angel, Susie, Rosie, Kyla, Traci, Harley, Tasia, Kyle, Steven, Marley and Alexa. As well he leaves to mourn his brother Joseph, two sisters Rozalia and Marusia, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Ukraine. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 19 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20 also at the cathedral, with Rev. M. Kouts officiating. Interment at All Saints Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Zubaty, Jack Szesterniak, George Kitasz and Mike Holowczak. Active pallbearers will be Teodore Humeniuk, Osap Jaworsky, Dmytro Bosak, Wasyl Kucharskyj, Eugene Luciw and Olexander Myronenko. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the doctors and nursing staff from the 3rd and 4th floors at the Grace Hospital for their help and support which was greatly appreciated.
