PHILIP GARRY BECENKO July 20, 1921 - October 6, 2000 Phil (Gido) passed away peacefully after a brief illness, Friday evening October 6, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre. Phil will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Garry (Yolande), Edward (David) and Christopher. He also leaves to mourn his grandchildren, Evan, Owen and Nolan; his cousins, Taras, Fred, Kerrie, John and their families, nieces, Heather and family, Patsy, Auntie Kay and brother-in-law Peter Hescott (Helen). Phil also leaves behind recently acquainted family members Stephania in Edmonton and Bea in Chicago as well as his many friends and acquaintances. Phil was predeceased by his father Peter, mother Katherine; brother William (Billy) sisters, Margaret and Helen and his favourite Uncle, Jack Doll. Cremation has taken place as per Phils wishes. A private family interment will take place Monday morning. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 23, at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey Street.
