Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOSCAR OTTO POERSCH It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father Oscar "Pop" Poersch, grand-father and great-grandfather at the St. Boniface Hospital on October 29, 2000 age 91 years. He was born in Morris MB. February 5, 1909. Oscar was predeceased by his wife Pearl Mona in 1994, his parents Herman and Helena, sisters, Hattie, Helen and Hilda, brothers Ivan and Herman. Left to cherish his memory are daughter Sherron (Barry) Lowthian; sons, Ronald (Lucie Joyal), Gordon (Ernestine) granddaughters, Shannon (Mark) De Weile, Tina (Daniel Henry, grandsons Kevin and Shawn Lowthian and great-grandchildren Kelsey and Bryce. Oscar worked for the C.N.R. for 30 years. After an early retirement in 1970, Oscar and Pearl travelled south to Texas, Hawaii and Oklahoma for the winters. He loved hockey and managed hockey teams in his younger years, his other love was fishing which he did for many years at Moose Lake. Viewing will take place Saturday, November 4 at 9:15 a.m. in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 930 Winakwa Rd. with funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Dean Anderson officiating.
