Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM HARDEN BYARD Suddenly after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, "Bill" passed away peacefully on December 1, 2000, at the Grace Hospital, surrounded by love. Dad leaves to mourn two sons, Jamie (Kim) and Kelly (Michelle) and six daughters, Karen, Sharron, Debbie (Julius), Tracy (Darrell), Lisa and Lacey (Wade) granddaughters, Sabrina, Brooke, Cory, Julius; grandson Michael; and his loving cat Mai-Ling, plus many numerous friends and family. Bill was born in Thuro, N.S., the youngest of 13 brothers and sisters. Bill retired from Canadian National Railway in 1986 after 35 years of service, and enjoyed his retirement years to the fullest. He had a terrific sense of humour, even during his most difficult times. Bills life revolved around family and friends. He loved to socialize with his friends at the club on Selkirk or Club Regent during the weekdays. Every Sunday, however, was grandchildren day. His love and support knew no bounds when it came to family. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, at 1:00 p.m. at Voyage Funeral Home. Private family interment to follow at a later date. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at the Grace Hospital for the wonderful care they gave Bill during his brief stay, as well as all the support given to the family during this time. We love and miss you. Funeral arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 220 Hespeler Ave. 668-3151
