Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH MARIE RAE (nee MCCANN) Peacefully on December 14, 2000, Ruth Marie Rae, passed away with her loving family at her side, at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital, Eriksdale, MB, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Her love and memory will always be cherished by her loving husband Albert of 44 years; daughter Charlene (Victor), son Carey (Bonnie), Stuart, Janice (Gord), Heather (Ian) also 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Doris (Jerry) one brother Bud (Lenore) sister-in-laws, Bertha, Eunice and Lil and numerous nephews and nieces and many good friends. She was predeceased by her parents and one son-in-law Brian. Ruth was born on December 15, at Herbert, SK, and went to school in Swift Current, SK. She used to love to dance the butterfly. Her family was the centre of her life. She was always concerned with everyones well being. Ruth will always be remembered for the love of her family, her numerous friends, her coffee chats, jokes, wit, smiles, her hellos and for being so compassionate to others. She was a very dedicated volunteer in her community for many, many years. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, at the Lundar Lutheran Church with Pastor Bob Lewis officiating. Service will conclude at the church and interment will take place later this spring at the Clarkleigh Cemetery. Everyone in attendance that day can consider themselves honorary pallbearers. The family would like to thank Dr. Neil Burnet and the nurses and staff at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, for the wonderful care they gave Ruth. A special thank you to Linda and Wayne for all the hot meals they gave to our family during our stay with our mom at the hospital. "Mom, we will miss you and always love you." In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lundar Lutheran Church or the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St. Winnipeg, Man., R3E 9Z9.
